Nature, beaches, sunsets, the changing seasons, light reflections, poetry, writing, pet best friends, and interpreting music are a few key subject areas that inspire me. You can request a commission by emailing lisa@lisafinch.com. Commissions are created within two months, packaged, and shipped within the United States.
Acrylic on Canvas
My works are created with Golden acrylic paints on stretched canvas using a mix of sculpting tools and various palette knives and brushes. I'll often go back into a painting as it dries and play with the color and movement to create dimensional textures.
Light Reflections
The acrylic paint that I work with often has a quality of pearl, gold, or shifting iridescence that changes when the light touches it. One of my favorite aspects of capturing light is when it shimmers or the sky is overwhelmed in warm orange and pink hues.
